Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple

One of the six sacred abodes of Lord Murugan — the Arupadaiveedu — Thiruparankundram is a rock-cut cave temple carved into a hill just 8 km from Madurai. Dating back over 1,500 years, it is one of the oldest temples in Tamil Nadu and an important pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Murugan.

The temple is unique in that it houses shrines to multiple deities across different faiths — a rare and beautiful symbol of India's spiritual harmony. The hill itself offers sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
